Full Campaigns
Publishers-large and small-as well as authors and self-publishers often call on Newman Communications to provide the book publicity expertise to lead full-service campaigns from start to finish.
In the early days of a campaign, Newman Communications works with the client and/or author on campaign strategy. A timeline is developed, and pitches are designed for the various media targeted. Newman’s team will work with media from the initial days after receiving galleys, with the goal of confirming early long-lead placements. Prior to book publication, Newman writers design an appropriate press kit and methodically strategize a publicity game plan to be implemented prior to publication date. Upon receiving the final books, Newman’s account executives and publicists go to work pitching radio stations and networks, television stations and networks, newspapers, magazines, wire services, and online outlets.
Communication with the client and author is key in a full-service campaign. Newman account executives listen attentively in the early days of the relationship to determine the client’s goals. While publishers who hire Newman focus the campaign on book sales and achieving recognition on a national, regional, or niche bestseller list, authors often contract Newman with the goal of developing a platform for future business opportunities. Throughout the campaign Newman consults with clients and authors in a forthright manner and provides updates of placements and detailed reports of actions on an ongoing basis. When an author hires Newman Communications directly, our staff of account executives and administrators coordinates the execution of the book publicity campaign with the publisher to help enhance book distribution and sales.
Newman Communications is proud that successes on full-service campaigns have driven books to bestseller lists and raised the profiles of its authors, providing them with increased business opportunities and the possibility of authoring future titles.
